The Quincy Star Follies includes a cast of 120 from all over Plumas County, featuring a contingent of 60 students from K12 - College. This giant cast works together, hand in glove (literally) to entertain audiences with dancing and lip syncing to tunes of all genres. A wonderful event for the whole family and definitely a laugh a minute! Cost is $15 adults and $10 kids under 12. Help bring the 165 Engine back to operation in Portola! Join the Feather River Rail Society for an evening of special presentations, live auctions, and guided museum tours. Dinner will be provided by Longboards Bar & Grill. Tickets are $100 per person, and seating is limited.

 All proceeds will go to restore and support the 165 Steam Engine. Speakers will include Steve Lee the former head of the Union Pacific Steam Locomotive / Heritage Program, and Doyle McCormack the President of the Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation and lead on restoration and operation of SP "Daylight" 4449 steam locomotive since its resurrection for the American Freedom Train. Description:Led by Ryan Burnett.  Meet at the Hwy 36 Olsen Barn parking area across from the Bidwell House at 7:30am. The trip will go until about 10:30 am. 

 Co-sponsored by Point Blue and Feather River Land Trust.

 Meet at Hwy 36 entrance


Join bird expert Ryan Burnett (Point Blue) on a tour of the Olsen Property on the eastern edge of Chester. Explore the last vestige of Big Meadows in search of yellow warblers, willow flycatchers, osprey, bald eagles, barn owls, and other raptors.

Bring water, snacks, and binoculars if you have them. Layered clothing and good walking shoes are also recommended for this outdoor event.
