Coppercreek Camp. Located east of Greenville near Lake Almanor, this is a private summer residence camp for children on 148 acres adjacent to national forest land. Complete facility with swimming pool, three riding rings and high ropes course.

Feather River Camp. Operating since 1924, a vacation destination for families, children and adults seeking relaxation, recreation, fun and friendship.  Operated by Camps in Common with an agreement with the City of Oakland. This 50-acre site is located in the Plumas National Forest just outside of Quincy. Week-long family and youth camps offer plenty of activities for everyone at every age – arts and crafts, games, nature hikes during the day. Children aged 2 to 5 can spend the morning in the Acorns program at the Tot-Lot. Campers aged 6 to 9 year old can participate in Seedlings with fun camp-wide activities planned just for them.  Operated by Camps in Common with an agreement with the City of Oakland. Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch horsesGreenhorn Creek Guest Ranch. A Western-style family camp east of Quincy  with easy access to swimming holes, lakes, streams, hiking and horseback trails. Modern facility with heated swimming pool, lodge rooms and cabins, complete meal service, recreation room, Jacuzzi, petting farm, stables and trout pond. Visitors can enjoy hayrides, barbecues, amateur rodeo, square dancing, horseback riding, and other recreation. Shaffer's High Sierra Summer Camps  Summer camp is for kids 9 to 16 and offers a traditional camp program but with an emphasis on noncompetitive, largely team-based wilderness adventure activities. We've designed a fun, stress-free program where kids can get away, have fun, spend time with friends, and participate in great activities.
This ACA accredited overnight summer camp is in California's famed Tahoe National Forest, nestled on the peaceful headwaters of the North Yuba River among pine and 200' fir trees. It's a short 10 minute ride to the Lakes Basin Recreation Area, with 70+ pristine mountain lakes and miles and miles of hiking and biking trails. Not limited to the camp property or just one lake, campers stay interested and engaged for however long they choose to stay.

S.P.I.C.E. This is a Chester ranch day-camp (non-residence) whose name stands for Summer Program Involving Creative Exploration.  Monday through Friday, for children aged 4-11. Participants develop outdoor skills and an appreciation for nature. Activities include horseback-riding, golf, petting zoo, archery, arts and crafts, hiking and camp-outs. Walking G Ranch. Located in Genesee Valley, near Taylorsville, this is a ranch camp for children ages 7-14 that has been in operation since 1956. During the two-week sessions, participants learn how to care for farm animals and how to break and train horses. Walton's Grizzly Lodge. This summer camp for children ages 7-14 is located on a secluded, 50-acre forested site with a private lake near Portola. Founded in 1926, it is run by third-generation camp directors. Two-week sessions include water skiing, windsurfing, fishing, sailing, ropes course, horseback riding, arts and crafts, campfire programs, archery, air rifle, and sports such as volleyball, softball, soccer, tennis, golf and gymnastics.
