The Courage Triathlon was created by correctional officers, community members, and faith-based groups to raise money for Courage Worldwide, an organization that helps children rescued from sex trafficking. In August 2014, we tried our first sports fundraiser. Getting braver, we turned it into a triathlon in 2015 at beautiful Lake Almanor in Plumas County. The Courage Triathlon begins with a 2.8-mile run, transitioning to a 6.4-mile bicycle portion, then a 3.1-mile kayak/paddleboard will enable participants to finish the event where it began. It can be done solo or as a team. As mentioned above, all proceeds go to Courage Worldwide, a nonprofit organization helping young victims of sex trafficking. We are always looking for sponsors and dedicated volunteers. If you can help, please message us. Thank you.
