Sparkle
A uniquely special Quincy event which brings community members and visitors out for an evening of community spirit and entertainment. Make sure to mark your calendar for December 6th.
“It’s just that small town feel … it’s that classic Christmas scene … that sensation of walking around downtown and seeing everyone greeting everybody; everyone is happy and smiling,” says Cheryl Kolb, administrative director for the Quincy Chamber of Commerce. “It’s all about that community, that warm, cozy feeling of belonging.”
Sparkle’s 2024 entertainment showcase held on the Courthouse steps
• Rosa Bair Productions performing a fire dance to kick off Sparkle
• Sierra Blanton performing winter favorites
• Westend Theatre’s cast of Once the Musical
• Local harmonica player Johnny Walker accompanying the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at 7:25 p.m.
• Free photos with Santa performances from Dramaworks’s Magic Bean Stalk Players and the great dancers from Rhythm and Grace
• Quircus performing jaw-dropping circus acts, dancers, musicians.
After Sparkle Fun
Starting at 8 pm after Sparkle, head over to the Drunk Brush. The Drunk Brush is an easy walk just a block from the courthouse at 438 Main Street. Decades will be performing and food available from Soul’s BBQ. Cover charge $10.00.
Quincy Provisions is open during Sparkle from 5pm to 9pm. Candy Pickers will be providing Bluegrass Music starting at 5:30 pm. Quincy Provisions is just a block south of the courthouse at 91 Bradley Street.
Warm up with some Eggnog Latte, enjoy some great music and check out the special treats available.
The Quincy Hub will be having a soft opening and serving free hot chocolate.
Sage and Salt will be participating in Sparkle, with a raffle, deals on gift cards, free hot chocolate, specialty cocktails and store items.
