The 42nd annual Mile High 100 bike ride will return Saturday, June 20, 2026, sponsored by the Almanor Recreation and Park District in Chester, CA. Three routes will showcase the beauty and tranquility of Lake Almanor with amazing views of Lassen Peak. Distances are 33 miles, 68 miles and 100 miles. The metric century and full century rides feature routes venturing east to Lassen County via Highway 147 and County Road A-21, including a full rest stop at the Walker Mansion in Westwood (home of Paul Bunyan and his Blue Ox, Babe). All routes include fully-stocked rest stops, rider support, catered meal and beverages (including a complimentary post-ride beer). Music provided by NextGen Entertainment will contribute to the relaxing after-ride. All riders will also receive a commemorative T-shirt. Everyone registered online by June 1st will be guaranteed an event T shirt in the correct size! Day before/Day of registration will be available at a bike shop in Chester, but T shirt sizes are not guaranteed. Check back soon for the new Jersey! Registration is open now. Riders are encouraged to sign up early, as online registration will close on June 13th. For more information, email arpd01@frontier.com or call (530) 258-2562. If you have inquiries about overnight lodging both before and after the ride, send an email to arpd@01@frontier.com. The Mile High 100 is one of the Almanor Recreation and Park District’s largest fundraising events and all proceeds benefit District programs and events, as well as capital improvement projects, with an emphasis on recreation, parks and trails. For more information about ARPD, visit www.yourarpd.org or call (530) 258-2562. Here is a Strava route showing the map and mileage for the full century: https://www.strava.com/routes/3073113315623989696 SAG vehicles patrolling the route keep riders within easy access of supplies and mechanical help, and light traffic on the fully paved routes lets riders focus on the amazing views and perfect weather.
The Mile High 100 is a wonderfully scenic century, metric century, and half-metric century event in its 42nd year for 2026!
