Aspens in Plumas National Forest

Bucks Creek Loop

The Bucks Creek Loop Trail begins at the Mill Creek Trail near the corner of Bucks Lake, though it doesn’t follow the lake itself. Instead, the 4.0-mile loop winds through a tranquil forested landscape, passing along small streams and offering chances to spot local wildlife. Shaded by towering pines and filled with the sounds of water and birdsong, this trail offers a peaceful, nature-rich experience. Its mostly flat terrain makes it ideal for beginners, families, and anyone seeking a relaxed forest walk away from the crowds.
