World Championship Longboard Races with large group of spectators

World Championship Longboard Races

PLUMAS SKI CLUB

World Championship Longboard Races hosted by the Plumas Ski Club. The Ski Club invites skiers and the public to the Annual Historic Longboard Races held on the third Sunday of each month in January, February, and March at Plumas-Eureka Ski Bowl in Johnsville–home to the first downhill skiing competition in the western hemisphere, starting in 1861. There is a nominal charge to race, leather boots are required, and period-appropriate dress is encouraged. Spectators will enjoy food, music, and drink in addition to the exciting races. Spend the day at the birthplace of ski racing for a genuinely unique Plumas County experience!

LONGBOARD RENTALS

Want to race but do not have the equipment? Rentals are available from the Plumas Ski Club. A limited quantity of Ski Club Skis are available. They are rented on a first-come, first-served basis. Fee $20.
