Frazier Falls hike in Plumas County

Frazier Falls

Take a short and scenic stroll to one of Plumas County’s most accessible natural wonders—Frazier Falls. This 1.1-mile out-and-back paved trail near Clio, California is a great option for all ages and ability levels, with a wide, smooth path leading to a stunning overlook of the 176-foot cascade (when flowing). Surrounded by high-elevation forest and granite, the views along the way are just as rewarding as the destination.

This is a fantastic family-friendly outing, especially in late spring or early summer when the snowmelt brings the waterfall to life. Even in drier months, the overlook still offers panoramic views of the surrounding Sierra Buttes. The trail is open year-round and is wheelchair/stroller accessible, although winter snow may limit access.

Cell service can be spotty in the area, so it’s a good idea to download maps in advance and let someone know your plans. Bring water, sun protection, and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
