Cascade Trail Plumas County

Cascade Trail

This mildly short but beautiful trail can be accessed from the Old Hwy Road near Keddie. About 1 mile out, visitors can see the Cascade waterfalls from two wooden bridges along the route. The 6 mile hike is parallel to Spanish Creek and is a popular hike for those who want a somewhat short and easy hike with great views. Eventually it connects to the Spanish Traverse and Ridge Trail at a 4-way intersection.  From there, it drops down towards the South Park Trailhead and ends at Barlow Road.

Mossy rocks and the sound of flowing water make for a peaceful experience. Enjoy a picnic near the lovely cascade, it’s especially rewarding after spring snowmelt when the water is flowing strongest. Wildflowers often line the trail in spring and early summer, and the surrounding forest offers colorful foliage in the fall. It’s a perfect option for families or anyone looking for a quiet, scenic stroll.
