Spanish Ridge and Spanish Traverse Loop

This scenic 3.3-mile loop near Quincy, California, offers a rewarding moderate climb with beautiful views of the surrounding forested ridgelines. The trail gently winds through oak and pine woodland, offering great birding opportunities and seasonal wildflowers. It’s a peaceful and lightly trafficked route, making it ideal for a quiet hike or trail run.

The loop combines Spanish Ridge Trail with the Spanish Traverse, offering a nice variety of terrain, including some steeper sections with solid elevation gain in a short distance. On clear days, expect partial views of the valleys and mountains beyond.
